Q: How does it work?
A: Unlike disinfectants, which provide a limited residual activity once the treated surface dries, INOX MicroArmor™ antimicrobial door hardware works around the clock by disrupting a microbe's growth and reproduction in four crucial ways:
- Attacking the microbe's proteins, triggering the failure of essential functions
- Breaching the membrane of proteins, prompting the loss of critical nutrients
- Damaging a microbe's internal system by increasing its oxygen level
- Interfering with the DNA and genetics of a microbe, ultimately preventing its growth and reproduction
The key weapon in the MicroArmor arsenal is silver ion technology that, infused directly with hardware coatings, provides safe, effective, and long-lasting protection against harmful microbes. Silver ions are non-toxic and environmentally friendly.
Q: Has it been tested by a third party?
A: This technology is Biocidal Products Regulation (BPR) listed and EPA approved and INOX has tested the material to JIS Z 2801 standards, a critical test for antibacterial activity and efficacy. To pass the test, the antimicrobial coating has to be 99.9% effective! Certification documents are available on request.
Q: How long will MicroArmor last?
A: Antimicrobials retain their capability over time to inhibit microbes and prevent replication and growth. With proper care and occasional cleaning, antimicrobials have an excellent anti-abrasion and anti-corrosion rate.
Q: What’s the INOX Warranty on MicroArmor?
A: INOX warrants this product for two years for commercial applications and ten years for residential.

Harsh abrasives should never be used; simple soap and water or a mild detergent can be used as necessary to keep the hardware clean and beautiful and MicroArmor™ at full strength protecting your home or business.Q: How do I order?
