Sustainability, the use of recycled and sustainable materials requiring minimal manufacturing waste and maintenance are a must in today's avant garde world of knowledgable designers, architects, and 21st century consumers.
Stainless steel has a stellar environmental track record due to the steel industry's sparing use of primary energy which reduces waste streams and saves non-renewable resources. Due to its self-sustaining qualities there is as much as 28% reduction in CO2 emissions captured through the use of 100% raw stainless steel and each ton of stainless steel recycled scrap replaces one ton of raw material.
The advantages of stainless steel are numerous with an average stainless steel object consisting of 60% or higher recycled material. Architects, designers, and consumers can be assured their use of such products are eco-friendly to our planet earth. |
